Fluted Block

Standards: Units shall be normal weight block, withstanding compression test loads of at least 3,000 p.s.i. for individual units, or 3,500 p.s.i. for an average of five units, basing load figures on the average net area of the blocks. Units shall meet or exceed requirements specified for Type I, ASTM C55-97A.

Manufacture: Units specified herein are based on those manufactured by Grand Blanc Cement Products, Incorporated, Grand Blanc, Michigan. The same manufacturer shall produce all visually related block.

Finish: Full Split Face units are to be a _______ color, (or color to be selected by AIA), using natural dense aggregates. Samples shall be submitted for establishing an approved range of color variation and texture.

Shape: Block shall conform to Grand Blanc Cement Products series Full Split Face, Standard pattern as detailed.

Note: Split Face masonry can be scored to produce a variety of facial patterns, available are:
